Resetting an App's Access to the Photo Roll

In iOS 6 it is possible to control access to the photo roll. If you accidentally disallow an App access to the Photo Roll it is not clear how to enable an App access to the photo roll at a later time.
This has been a question I have had on a number of occasions so below are the steps needed to retainable access to the photo roll.

1. On your phone, open the settings app.
2. Scroll Down until you see privacy

3. Select the Photos setting

4. Set the Countdown App Setting to "ON".

How old are you in Days?

If you want to know how old you are in days you can create an event on your date of birth.
(This would be great for newborn babies/children).

How many days old!
Note this is not my birth date, I haven't hit 20,000 days old yet!

Set the time to 12:00am if you don't know what time you were born.
Ensure that the Show Weeks option is set to "Off"

Event details
Note, due to the way in which I calculate the difference between the date and today's date it won't work for dates prior to about 1930 ... this will be fixed in a future version.

An event now has a repeating type, this can be one of the options in the screen shot below.

If an event is found to be in the past or it occurs whilst being displayed then it's date is updated accordingly.

Repeat Type
v 1.16 also fixes a bug that was causing a crash on initialisation if the "current event" was the last event in the list and it was deleted. Please report any problems to phil.bevan@gmail.com.

Daylight Savings

I have had a few emails pointing out that for some events the countdown timer is incorrect by exactly 1 hour.

I just wanted to clarify that the countdown timer does take into account any daylight saving that will be in place when the event takes place.

For example, San Francisco has no daylight saving in place at the time of this blog post 20 February 2012. Daylight saving starts for Pacific Standard time on 11 March 2012, ending on 4 November 2012.

So any event that takes place between those dates will appear to be incorrect by 1 hour. Of course it only looks that way the actual amont of time between now and the event date/time is correct.
